Thousands of items in different units

A building materials or hardware store sells cement by the bag, cable and pipe by the metre, tiles and laminate by the square metre, paint by the litre and nails by the kilogram. The same customer may be a homeowner buying one tap or a contractor taking a truckload on credit at a wholesale price.

A notebook or a spreadsheet means wrong stock, forgotten debts and arguments about which price a customer was promised. PUNCT counts each product in its own unit, keeps several prices per product and saves every sale on credit with the customer's name.

Contractors often buy for several sites at once and pay when their own client pays them. In PUNCT each contractor is a customer with a balance: you see every purchase they took on credit, every payment they brought and what is still owed, and a summary report shows how much each of them bought over a month or a season.

What PUNCT does for a building materials store

Metres, m², kilograms and litres

Each product has its own unit, and quantities can be fractional: sell 12.5 metres of cable or 18.4 m² of tiles, and the stock goes down by exactly that.

Retail and wholesale prices

Keep a purchase price and several selling prices per product. The cashier picks the wholesale price for a contractor right at the till.

Credit for builders and contractors

Sell on credit on the terminals where you allow it. The customer's debt is counted automatically, and every repayment is saved in their balance history.

Any item found in seconds

The till searches by name, by barcode and by the words of the description, so a size or an article number written there finds the product.

Deliveries and returns to suppliers

Record a delivery in one document and the stock and prices update. Faulty goods go back to the supplier with a return.

Several stores in one account

Run the head office and branches in one account and move goods between them. The receiving store accepts the transfer and its stock updates.

Fewer disputes at the counter

In a building materials store mistakes are expensive. PUNCT keeps prices, quantities and debts exact and shows who changed what.

Every change has a name

Price changes at the till are allowed per terminal, and changes to products, stock and balances are saved with the employee who made them.

SMS about debts

On request, customers get an SMS whenever their balance or debt changes. SMS are paid separately.

Sales by customer

See which contractors buy the most and how much they took on credit and paid back over any period.

Frequently asked

Can I sell goods in metres and square metres?
Yes. Each product has its own unit: pieces, kilograms, metres, square metres or litres, and quantities can be fractional, such as 2.75 m or 18.4 m².
How do I give a contractor the wholesale price?
Create a price type such as Wholesale and set its prices, for many products at once if you like. At the till the cashier picks that price type for the sale.
Can a customer pay part now and the rest later?
Yes, on a terminal that sells on credit. Pick the customer, take the part they pay in cash or by card, and the rest goes onto their balance as a debt.
Can I run a store and a warehouse in one account?
Yes, as a head office with branches. Goods move between them with transfers, and each one keeps its own stock.
