When a customer asks for a part by its number

An auto parts store keeps thousands of small items: filters, pads, bulbs, belts and oils, often with several brands of the same part. Customers come with an article number on a piece of paper or on their phone, mechanics from nearby garages buy every day and expect their own price, and part of the stock sits on the shelf for months.

With PUNCT the article number goes into the product's description and the cashier finds the part by it. Mechanics get a price of their own, and the reports show which parts sell and which only take up space.

Setting up doesn't mean typing in every part by hand. Our team loads your existing product list during setup, with prices and barcodes where you have them, and you add article numbers to the descriptions as you go. A stock count with a scanner then brings the numbers in the system in line with what is on the shelves.

What PUNCT does for an auto parts store

Search by article number

The till searches products by name, barcode and description. Put the article number or the car models in the description and the part is found by them.

A price for mechanics

Keep a retail price and a wholesale price for garages and resellers. The cashier picks the price type for the sale at the till.

Regular customers and credit

Keep a base of mechanics and regular customers. Sell on credit on the terminals you allow, and see who owes how much.

Which parts really sell

ABC and XYZ analysis shows the parts that bring most of your revenue and those that sell unevenly, so you order less of what stays on the shelf.

Returns of the wrong part

If a part doesn't fit, take back some or all of the order. The money goes back the way it was paid or onto the customer's balance, and the stock goes back up.

Deliveries and supplier returns

Record deliveries in one document with their purchase prices. Faulty or unsold parts go back to the supplier with a return.

Order what sells, not what you guess

In an auto parts store the money sits on the shelf. PUNCT shows where it is and how it moves.

Stock value on the dashboard

See what your stock is worth at selling prices, how many products are on sale and how many have run out.

Sales by sales consultant

When consultants help customers choose, their sales are counted for them in reports.

Stock counts with a scanner

Count the shelves with a barcode scanner or by name, and PUNCT corrects the stock once you accept the count.

Frequently asked

Can I find a part by its article (OEM) number?
Yes, if the number is in the product's name, barcode or description: the till searches all three. Many stores put the article number and the car models in the description.
Is there a catalogue of which parts fit which car?
No, PUNCT has no compatibility catalogue. Write the car models in the product's description and the cashier will find the part by them.
Can I give mechanics a lower price?
Yes. Create a price type for mechanics with its own prices. At the till the cashier picks it for the sale.
How many products can I keep in PUNCT?
It depends on your plan: each plan has its own product limit, shown on the pricing page. Our team can load your existing product list during setup.
